Free Community Meals

Cafe on the Park are excited to annouce that we will be back hosting our FREE monthly Community Meals for all members of our community in 2021. Come down and enjoy some nutritious food, create long lasting friendships and help promote social inclusion.

The Community Meals will happen on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, commencing the 17th of March 2021. Meals are served at 6:00pm sharp and are limited to 30 places, bookings are not necessary.

The Community Meals are prepared by a fully qualified chef with over 27 years' experience in the hospitality industry and are served in our registered Social Enterprise Cafe - Cafe on the Park. We provide a main meal and dessert, and all our meals are fresh, nutritious and DELICIOUS!

Kindly note that the Frozen Meals service at Eastland Shopping Centre's Order & Collect Valet has now finished, as we're now able to service our community through Glen Park due to the easing of restrictions. If you require Emergency Food Relief and live in the Bayswater North, Bayswater & Boronia areas, please contact the office.

If you would like more information on our Community Meals program, please contact the office on (03) 9720 5097

Thank you to the organisations and community groups that have made the Commuinty Meals possible - FoodBank Vic and Woolworths Bayswater. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Eastland for your incredible support in 2020, making Glen Park's frozen meals more accessible to families in need during the State of Emergency.

Thank You Maroondah City Council

In June 2020, Glen Park Community Centre were notified that we were successful with our application for the Maroondah City Council 2020/21 Small Equipment Grants Scheme. Glen Park Community Centre were able to purchase a laminator and data projector with the funds from the successful grant. These items will go a long way to enhance the way we run our Emergency Relief programs, and will also promote social inclusion, support services and educational videos.

Community Engagement Officers work in collaboration with community organisations to connect customers who are experiencing significant vulnerabilities. They provide an outreach service to increase customers' ability to self-manage their business with the department and pathways to employment and/or learning.
