Glen Park Community Centre has a range of services available which address need and promote a healthy, inclusive and connected community - free from poverty, isolation and injustice. 

Community Support Services / Resources

Free Community Meals

Cafe on the Park distribute fortnightly Community Meals, for all members of our community who may be experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. Cafe on the Park provide fresh, nutritious meals prepared by a fully qualified chef with over 27 years experience. 

*Although Cafe on the Park is unable to open and provide sit down meals during the State of Emergency, Cafe on the Park have made take away meals available through our Community Pantry. The meals are distributed at 11:30am sharp on selected pantry dates. Meals can also be picked up through Eastland Shopping Centre's vallet service.

Free Community Pantry

The Community Pantry was designed to provide relief to people experiencing extreme hardships such as homelessness and food insecurity so that vulnerable community members have access to food and material aid when they need it most. Glen Park's Social Enterprise Cafe - Cafe on the Park, works tirelessly to ensure your Community Pantry is stocked full of fresh fruit and vegetables, non-perishable items of food and personal hygiene items. 

The Community Pantry is currently operating on a fortnightly basis on Tuesdays from 10:00am - 11:30am. Please contact the office for a list of dates on office@glenparkcc.com.au

Membership eligibility criteria applies:
- Resident in Bayswater, Bayswater North or Boronia
- Holder of current concession card (health care card, pension card etc)
- Homeless or at risk of being homeless
- Recipient of income support from Centrelink

Community Engagement Outreach Service

The Community Engagement Outreach Service is for the most vulnerable customers in the Community. 

Community Engagement Officers work in collaboration with community organisations to connect customers who are experiencing significant vulnerabilities. They provide an outreach service to increase customers' ability to self-manage their business with the department and pathways to employment and/or learning.

Parents Beyond Breakup (Dads in Distress)

Dads in Distress provide specialised peer support & referral network to parents going through the trauma of family breakdown. Dads in distress runs every Tuesday from 7.00pm - 9:30pm from 07/01/2020- 29/12/2020 (in person meetings currently suspended during State of Emergency).

Mums in Distress information is available on the Parents Beyond Breakup website.

Are you a parent or carer of a child with a disability or developmental delay (with or without a formal diagnosis)?  Could you use a bit of support and connection with others who understand?

Eastern Community Legal Centre

Eastern Community Legal Centre Community outreach at Glen Park Community Centre.

The sessions are private and confidential held on a Tuesday between 10:00- 12:00 (except 10/12/2019).

CHAOS - Get Together Brochure

CHAOS have released "Get Together", which is a brochure that includes low cost activities, events and social groups at your local Community House.
