Job Vacancy

Communication Skills Tutor - Immediate Start

Day required: Thursday
Commencement: Immediate start
Employment type: Sessional Tutor
Description: Tutor required to facilitate 2 x ACFE modules (Communication Skills for Work and Community & Stepping Stones) for an ongoing group of adult learners with a range of varying physical and intellectual barriers. The tutor will have experience with ACFE compliance, administration and moderation; cert 4 in TAE is desirable but not required, preferably will have experience planning and facilitating classes for adult learners with disabilities. As this is an ongoing program, a detailed list of outcomes and evidence will be provided alongside a comprehensive suite of resources, session plans, moderation of previous programs and some basic administration support. Content topics include verbal and non-verbal communication, written communication, basic problem solving and negotiation, basic money management and budgeting, ability to understand and utilize public transport safely; a more detailed list of content topics and outcomes discussed further with suitable applicants.

As we work with our program stakeholders in ensuring the safety of their clients, applicants should be up to date with COVID vaccinations & boosters and Flu vaccination. Applicants must be able to provide a current (within 14 days) National Police Check and employee Working with Children Check, if successful.

Emergency Relief Volunteers

Glen Park Community Centre & Cafe on the Park continue to provide emergency relief programs, as well as supporting external emergency relief programs within our community. These emergency relief programs promote social inclusion and provide warm meals for the most vulnerable members of our community. We're seeking expressions of interest for volunteers with a heart of gold, who would like to give back to their community by preparing emergency relief meals.

Glen Park are currently recruiting for volunteers to volunteer in our Social Enterprise Cafe. 

Glen Park's Social Enterprise are seeking some motivated individuals to volunteer in the Social Enterprise Cafe "Cafe on the Park". In this role you will be supported by a small team of supportive staff and volunteers.
